granular cellulose fiber for bitumen stabilization in bitumen-concrete mix of SMA type. The additive AGG has been developed by Russian scientists who used as the base similar Western analogues (Viatop, Topcel, S-Cell, and others) which are widely used as stabilizing additives on the market of the Russian Federation. In characteristics and ease of handling the additive is highly competitive with its analogues, and it effects a good saving in cost (sometimes as much as 50%).
The additive is meant to:
keep bitumen in stone mastic mix from draining down both in the process of shipment and depositing.
Advantages:
Besides its acceptable price, the cellulose additive has some more advantages:
– the surface of its granules is entirely covered with a bituminous film which protects it if kept in moist environment;
– granular size is 6mm in diameter and 3-8mm lengthwise, granules can be easily and thoroughly crushed and the fibers in the process of batching, as a rule, can be distributed over the whole volume of bitumen-concrete mix within 10-12sec in case of dry mix before bitumen feeding;
– cellulose which is used in the process undergoes a thorough absorption test. As opposed to cellulose in briquettes granular AGG can be safely stored, easily crushed and distributed in the process of batching.

The precise price of the stabilizing additive is given in our price-list and at the present time runs at 0.6 € per 1kg.
Feeding:
AGG feeding can be carried out via cellulose additive unit (bulk supply hopper): the product is fed into a mixing unit on hot aggregate, after this feeding of a binder is taking place. In case there is no automatically controlled bulk supply hopper hand feed of the additive is possible.

Storage:
It can be stored both in warehouses and in open storage areas under shelter. A mandatory requirement for storage: No direct contact with water!
Storage temperature range: from +40С to -50С.
Storage time is 2 years from the date of manufacture. After 2 years the additive can be used, all the properties being preserved, but with keeping it unmoved for a long time the possibility of granule packing should be taken into account.
Transportation:
The additive is hazard class 0 substance, any type of transportation is allowed.
